Throughout a career spurred by curiosity and enthusiasm I’ve had the responsibility of building and leading teams in both urban and resort hotels, always excited by opportunities to hone my skills by integrating new scope & challenges. I’ve opened five new properties, and managed another two to closure, through renovation, and re-opening and repositioning, and four former direct reports have gone on to become Hotel or General Managers with the world’s most recognized luxury hotel management company. I have been told that my strengths are emotional intelligence, never taking the guest for granted, being approachable, possessing relentless patience, embracing change, pushing the sales and marketing boundaries, and teaching sound financial acumen with respect to both revenues and expenses. These have produced engaged and enthusiastic leadership committees, motivated to create surprise and delight for both internal and external customers, and deliver exceptional results for ownership.

   Named after the multi-decade matriarch of the Bolgiano Seed Company, which called 411 New York Avenue NE in Washington DC home for over 50 years, the 100+ year old industrial space presently houses 106 guestrooms, a rooftop lounge, ground floor restaurant, and soon to open Modern Asian Speakeasy-inspired restaurant with Karaoke rooms. The hotel is situated at the entryway to DC’s vibrant Union Market District• Leading the operations management transition from TPG Hotels & Resorts to Charlestowne Hotels. • Oversaw the addition of weekly weekend brunch in an operating restaurant while also managing the last 8 weeks of critical path countdown to opening a new Asian concept restaurant/lounge. • Recruiting, hiring, and training all but two department heads
