Oversee 35 area maintenance facilities with over 21 area fleet managers in Canada and the U.S. and over 100 technicians and support personnel in the repair and preventative maintenance of large industrial solid waste equipment and yellow iron in support of refuse operations to include commercial, industrial, residential, recycling centers, Material Refuse Facilities (MRF’s)’ and landfills. Responsible for multimillion-dollar budget to support all-inclusive maintenance operations in the pickup, collection and processing of solid waste and recyclables. 1st Market Area out of 16 others nation-wide to 100% certify in Maintenance Service Delivery Optimization (MSDO) in record time. MSDO is a Waste Management corporate improvement initiative designed to optimize fleet operations in key metrics to include PM efficiencies, PM Quality, Downtime, Unit Availability and Maintenance Cost Per Unit (MCPU). Oversee budget of over $35M in maintenance expense annually for an market area of over 1 billion dollar annually, Primarily responsible for the maintenance and equipment to support all lines of business, collections, landfill, recycling, Material Recycling Facilities and transfer stations. Responsible for fleet monthly budget forecast and actuals to achieve results for monthly, quarterly and yearly EBIT, EBITDA and OPEX to ensure area and corporate goals are met monthly and annually. In addition, responsible for $50M+ in vehicle and equipment acquisition for replacement and market area growth, to include new acquisitions of other companies and contract renewals in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Canada.

Simply delivering results! 6 years ago I was brought on at WM as area fleet director to initiate our MSDO (maintenance service delivery optimization) optimization program for fleet maintenance. With over $50M in expense each year and billions in capital at stake the need was greater than ever to optimize our organization. Within 18 months I was able to build a team and get 11 master certified trainers out of my market area (headcount neutral) and successfully deployed and certified 28 sites which are all currently exceeding all crown metrics,(PM efficiency, PM quality, downtime, cost, tech production and fleet utilization). We were the last market area out of 16 to start the MSDO certification and the first to finish! Since then I have built a great team and we are focused on our people and process in order to keep the business running efficient as possible. Our market area is always in first quartile and has finished number 1 two years in a row out of the 16 other market areas. I have a passion for maintenance practices and process that make them more efficient and have proven myself as a ground breaking leader in a fortune 250 company and have the most efficient fleet in the enterprise. 2022 we were able to deploy MSDO and certify 6 landfill sites and in 2023 were deploying RSDO at the MRF\'s to enhance efficiencies. I have over 38 years of progressive fleet management experience in the military, local municipal government and private sector to include electric, gas, water, railroad, solid waste, police/ fire and cable utilities setting with a solid track record of success. I have invested both in my education and career and earned an MBA, lean six-sigma black belt certification and multiple leadership courses through Cornell University.
