Objective: Provide hands-on swim instruction to small classes, following the FOSS Swim Path curriculum. Ensure a safe and fun learning environment similar to daycare settings, but with a pool. Foster strong connections with students and their parents, emphasizing core values: Connect, Collaborate, Empower, Belong.Outcome: I infused each lesson with enthusiasm and positivity. With a consistent schedule, my role allowed me to nurture life-saving swim skills, making a meaningful impact and offering plenty of fun along the way. I was also testing out what it might be like to have children of my own.Tools: FOSS Swim Path curriculum, effective communication skills to interact with students and parents, framework centered around our core values and teaching methods, healthy body for physical demands of water safety and swim instruction.
