About Aarav Gupta

I’m a student interested in one broad question: How can technology and scientific thinking be used to solve problems that people actually face every day?Over the past few years I’ve explored this question through a mix of engineering, entrepreneurship, and research. I’ve worked on developing technology prototypes that led to a granted patent, including devices aimed at improving everyday efficiency and safety. One of these ideas later evolved into Shakti, a women’s safety initiative that grew through the TiE Young Entrepreneurs program at IIT Delhi, where our team went on to win the national finals and place among the Top 6 teams globally at TYE Globals.Alongside product development, I’m deeply interested in material and environmental systems, particularly how material technologies could help address challenges such as wastewater treatment and sustainable sludge management in developing economies. This interest has guided independent research projects and continues to shape the scientific direction I hope to pursue in the future.I also enjoy building communities and working with teams. As part of Teens4Teens, a global youth nonprofit, I’ve helped expand programs across India supporting menstrual health awareness and access, working with hundreds of volunteers to scale youth-led initiatives.Beyond technology and research, I’ve spent 11 years learning Hindustani classical music, which has taught me a very different way of thinking about structure, creativity, and discipline. I’m always excited to learn from people working at the intersection of science, innovation, and social impact, and I enjoy conversations that challenge how problems are usually approached.
