About Aarav Gupta
Hey there! My name\'s Aarav and I\'m a current freshman at Rice University studying CS+ECE. I\'ve had 3 years of experience with Java, Kotlin, and Python, mainly as a control systems engineer for my robotics team back home. I\'ve been the recipient of multiple awards at the regional, national, and international level and have been the software lead for one of the top 50 FIRST Tech Challenge Teams worldwide, out of roughly 8500 other teams. At Rice, I\'m also involved in the university\'s robotics team, specifically in the ML subteam, designing a YOLO model trained on TensorRT for object detection. I\'m currently doing research under Professor Eugene Ng on NPU architecture and its optimization for use on mobile devices. I\'m also involved in the Rice South Asian Society, the Society for Hispanic Engineers, and RiceApps. Outside of class, I like to read, listen to music, work out, and hang out with friends.
