About Ameet Patel

I’m a hotel developer, operator, and entrepreneur with a background in accounting, finance, and management from the University of Kentucky. I started my career in public accounting, working with financial institutions and large private and public companies. While I gained great experience there, I quickly realized my passion was in hospitality.That realization led me to launch Thoroughbred Hospitality Group (THG) — a company focused on building and operating high-performing hotels that blend strong design, operational excellence, and financial discipline. As CEO, I lead all of our new construction and development projects and oversee the financial and operational performance of every hotel in our portfolio.I’m a hands-on leader who’s just as comfortable on a job site as I am reviewing a P&L. My goal is to build hotels that deliver memorable guest experiences, strong returns for investors, and long-term value for the communities we serve.Check us out!
