ABOUT ANGLERNE ANNELUS
I’m a former professional track and field athlete turned nonprofit professional and aspiring mental health therapist, passionate about creating access, equity, and healing in underserved communities. Currently, I serve as the Walk Coordinator at the Epilepsy Foundation Texas, where I lead the planning and execution of large-scale community fundraising events. In this role, I’ve helped raise over to support vital programs for individuals and families affected by epilepsy—while also building lasting relationships with donors, board members, and participants to ensure every event is inclusive, impactful, and meaningful. With a background in communication, event strategy, and youth development, I bring a heart for service and a drive to uplift others through action. My goal is to become a licensed therapist and open a practice that focuses on supporting people navigating grief, life transitions, and generational trauma—especially those from immigrant and underrepresented communities. Whether I’m coordinating events, mentoring young people, or advocating for mental health awareness, I’m committed to helping others feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal.
