About Aana Shenai
Hi! I\'m a Junior at Loyola University Chicago studying Environmental Science and Public Health who is passionate about environmental activism, progressive policy, and research. I got my start in environmental education working as a camp counselor at Gorman Heritage Farm’s summer camp, where I taught kids about sustainable agriculture. Since then, I\'ve worked locally and globally (in grassroots campaigns, national organizations, and academic hospitals) to advocate for environmental and public health issues, from microplastic pollution to environmental justice and minority environmental health disparities.At Loyola, I\'m a student leader in Loyola’s Student Environmental Alliance and Net Impact Chapter, and student researcher. I\'m passionate about connecting environmental pollution to human health through research and advocacy work with an environmental justice lens. In the future, hope to use my activism and STEM background to bridge the gap between scientists and policymakers in a public health, research-focused career. I\'m always looking to connect with people who have a passion for making our world a better place!
