   The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) offers students and life long learners a different kind of classroom, where education is designed for hands-on discovery and tackling real-world challenges. As the Associate Vice Chancellor of Human Resources, and head of the HR function at UMD, I have the honor of being a strategic and consultative HR advisor to executive and senior leadership, and leading an amazing team of HR and employee well-being professionals. Responsibilities also include the development and implementation of Duluth HR strategies and goals, taking a forward-thinking approach to both short- and long-term planning, closely aligning with central HR strategy, and supporting the development of faculty and staff capacities aligned with campus and University priorities. I currently serve on two strategic planning committees: the UMD Strategic Path Committee and an Elevate Extraordinary Action Team, supporting the broader UMN Strategic Plan. I also serve on the UMD High Impact Practice (HIP) Steering Committee and HIP Student Employment Subcommittee (as Co-Chair), and the UMD Commission on Disability, among others. I also had the honor of participating in the UMD Conscience Leadership fall 2025 cohort and 20••••26 HR Leadership Development cohort.
