Currently looking to pursue a new career path in information technology. Looking to utilize any skills and experience acquired in the social work field while potentially maintaining a professional connection to human services whether through the primary organization of work or part-time work in addition. A professional who has acquired her Bachelors in social work from Wheelock College, who has served in numerous volunteer and internship settings over the span of six years. Experience in working with diverse populations including: people living with HIV, victims of human trafficking, at-risk youth, LGBTQ, people with disabilities, and people with severe mental illness. Completed 23 credits towards a Masters in social work at Boston University. I am a highly motivated and hard-working professional. I have worked in a variety of social work settings around the Boston, MA area which have involved utilizing electronic health record systems software as well as performing administrative tasks that required strong computer skills. I have extensive experience in customer service, scheduling, data entry, electronic documentation of clinical information, and delineating tasks regarding client needs to agency providers. I am trained in HIPAA compliance and PHI. I am familiar with Microsoft Office software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I have used both Mac OS and Windows operating systems and carried out hardware and software troubleshooting from personal experience. My work skills and abilities include: interpersonal communication, teamwork, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. I am an active listener, dependable and always willing to engage in learning to further improve my skills and knowledge. My aim is to progress in a professional career in information technology.
