About Aaliya Gupta

I’m a Class 12 student at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, with a deep interest in economics, public policy, and law. My work focuses on turning ideas into measurable impact — whether that’s building financial literacy workshops for women’s Self-Help Groups through Sankalpini, designing a state budget simulation for Ladakh, or researching how inclusive language can influence policy and perception.I’ve published multiple research papers on economic and social policy, including one on LGBTQ+ inclusion in the International Journal of Humanities and Social Science (IJHSS), and was awarded the Gold CREST Award for excellence in Economics and Policy Research. I also received a Very High Commendation (Top 1%) in the 2025 John Locke Global Essay Competition, selected from over participants worldwide.At heart, I’m fascinated by how economic models translate into real-world change — how theory becomes practice, and how data can tell the story of a society’s values and choices.

   Played the electronic keyboard from an early age, completing Grade 4 Electronic Keyboard examinations under Trinity College London with distinction. Developed strong foundations in classical and jazz performance, blending technique with improvisation. Performed live at The Piano Man Jazz Lounge, New Delhi, showcasing versatility and stage experience in collaborative and solo performances. Music continues to anchor my creative and intellectual work, shaping how I think, feel, and express.
