As the Kansas City Community Chapter Lead for the South Asian Marrow Initiative (SAMI), I am deeply committed to advancing our mission of diversifying national bone marrow registries and increasing the chances of finding matches for patients in need. I recruit volunteers, organize fundraising efforts, and oversee swab events to raise awareness and participation in bone marrow donation within the South Asian community.

ABOUT AAKANKSHA ROY
I’m a senior at Blue Valley North High School and am currently enrolled in Blue Valley CAPS in the Medicine strand with hands-on medical experience at various hospitals. I\'m passionate about improving the lives of medically underserved individuals because I believe that everyone deserves a chance at a good quality of life. Additionally, witnessing children who face heart conditions has inspired me to provide support to those who need it most, specifically in surgical care. Feel free to connect!
