Hello! My name is Aahana Marella, and I am a rising junior at Reedy High School in Frisco, Texas. I’ve developed a strong passion for medicine through years of academic study, competitive extracurriculars, and hands-on research experience. I’m especially interested in pursuing a pre-med track with a focus on neurology, cardiology, or oncology, with the ultimate goal of becoming a surgeon and conducting impactful research to help cure life-threatening diseases. I’ve previously conducted research on pancreatic cancer using nanoparticle and AI-based approaches, and I’m currently fascinated by neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. I’m eager to continue growing my knowledge through internships, mentorships, and research opportunities in the medical and scientific fields.
