About Aafiya Shaikh
I am an Electrical Engineer with a strong passion for Electrical circuits design, testing and debugging. I also specialize in Control Systems including PLC/HMI programming, Industrial Automation and Robot Operating System. My expertise also extends to the PCB designing and population, building logic circuits, testing and debugging. I have hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as Multisim, Altium Designer, RSLogix LTspice, Xilinx Vivado, Cadence, LabVIEW and AutoCAD, Excel.Along with proficiency in Python, Java and Ladder Logic.My skill set also includes working with a wide range of electronic instruments, including oscilloscopes, function generators, diodes, sensors, microcontroller 8051, Nexys 4 FPGA board, multimeters, and soldering stations. Notably, I hold a patent for my bachelor\'s project, which involved hardware programming and modeling of an optical device using FPGA and Verilog programming. Having worked as a Controls Engineering Intern at Stepan Company, Illinois I have experience in designing the industrial automation system for Stepan\'s manufacturing plant by programming in RSlogix 5 software and Intouch View application for the HMI programming. I have had my safety training and well versed with the principles of E & SH and OSHA.I am actively seeking Full-time opportunities as I graduate in May 2026.
