About Aadhir Sandeep
For me, computer science is about solving challenging problems in creative ways to build impactful, sustainable, and user-centered solutions to real-world problems. What excites me the most is its interdisciplinary nature in revolutionizing fields like medicine, transportation, and education. As a computer science student at NC State, I am driven by a passion for building meaningful systems through full stack development, machine learning, and robotics where I continuously learn and apply my technical skills to craft effective solutions. Over the years, I have strengthened my technical skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and C with hands-on experience in various libraries and frameworks. I have also used tools like Jenkins, Postman, and Git to streamline development and libraries like Scikit-learn and CUDA for machine learning acceleration on GPUs. I love building applications that are both scalable and meaningful, whether it’s a predictive model for used car prices, an application tailored for to find opportunities in the area, or training data to improve the latest generative AI models. At my previous internship at Outlier AI, I created high quality training data for contemporary large language models. I tested and optimized over 100 API prompts, helping enhance model performance by 15%. My past industry experience also includes an externship at Cisco, where I focused on developing a dashboard prototype leveraging existing Cisco Meraki and IoT sensors to streamline freight delivery systems. On Campus, I am a part of the NCSU Aerial Robotics team where I contributed to system maintenance and optimization by refactoring existing software components involved with telemetry and object detection. I also utilized a Convolutional Neural Network to enhance the image detection of the unmanned aerial vehicle by 20%. Recently, I have joined 180 degrees consulting where I work with a team of student consultants to deliver high-impact, pro bono solutions for nonprofits. In my most recent project, I helped redesign and migrate the organization\'s website to improve the user experience. I integrated functionality such as membership pages, calendars, and used SEO to improve the organization\'s page ranking for better visibility, resulting in a 20% increase in active users. My future plans involve pursuing graduate studies with a focus on AI and Robotics. I am constantly learning and enjoy collaborating with others across various disciplines. If you are working on exciting software or AI-driven projects, let’s connect. I would love to contribute!
