About Aaron Chandler

I work in the often-uncomfortable space where grassroots movements intersect with institutional power—supporting organizations in building the political capacity, coalitional infrastructure and long-term strategy that structural change actually requires.For 15+ years I worked closely with Black- and communities-of-color-led organizations, queer-led organizations, and other grassroots efforts across fundraising, grant writing, program leadership and strategic consulting. That work taught me that the most sustainable institutional relationships are built on real ideological alignment and shared accountability—not performative language or surface-level consensus. I\'m now doing that work directly in policy, as part of a statewide Black-led network.

   Policy Associate at the California Black Power Network, a statewide network of 40+ Black-led organizations representing over people. My portfolio covers Education, Healthcare, and Economic Opportunity. Core work includes legislative tracking and mobilization, policy analysis and development, member organization engagement, and developing the network\'s Long-Term Policy Agenda.
