ABOUT A V SATISH CHANDRA

I am the Dean of Social Sciences and Senior Grade Professor with 34 years experience in teaching/research. Student of life with guiding philosophy that in order to be a good teacher one must be a good student. I have received a National Award from the KTK Foundation called the Bharat Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar for Excellence in Research and Teaching. This foundation is based in Delhi and is managed by ex Service men.I have been awarded the APJ Abdul Kalam National Award for Life Time Achievement in Teaching, Research and Publications by NISED, an organisation recognised by the Government, UGC and NAAC.I am also an Eminent Fellow Member of the International Scholars Academic and Scientific Society.I am a UGC and Ministry of Education appointed Mentor to young Faculty in all Universities.At the Osmania University, I actively organize/participate in seminars. Been the convener/coordinator of seminars & converted the proceedings into booksWent to TISS, Hyd, on lien to set up a School of Public Policy & Governance of which I was the Founding Chairman; helped design curriculum for MA in Public Policy & Governance, MA in Rural Development & Governance, & Political Science component of BA course in Social Sciences.Have been a Visiting Professor at NALSAR University, Hyderabad, teaching courses related to origins of legal theory and political theory.In 2012, was chosen as Visiting Fellow by US State Department & visited Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, University of Massachusetts, University of Connecticut, & University of Virginia where I participated in seminars/discussion sessions. Am a resource guide for Fulbright scholars in India.As Senior Professor of the Osmania University, have met the Consuls of Australia & Japan, on two separate occasions, to apprise them of the current political scenario in the states of Telangana & AP.Am resource person to the various UGC Human Resource Development Centers of Osmania University, MANUU, Hyderabad, UoH, Hyderabad etc. This involves speaking to peers about the latest developments in political science/social sciences. Am resource person for training of All-India Civil Service Probationers at the MCR-HRD Institute, Hyderabad.I am now teaching remedial classes of Political Science & upload these classes on to my own YouTube channel.I have published 6 books and am working on 3 more books for publication.
