ABOUT WOODY GOFFINETT
Blessed with a career surrounded by hard working and like minded individuals! Wilson Health is an independent county hospital based in Shelby County, OH. In 2009 I was contracted to start and grow their athletic training program. Now, as a full time employee, we have grown to 13 full time athletic trainers covering area schools, city public service, Shelby Sidney YMCA, and numerous community events. The Public Safety Athletic Trainers Society is a national organization serving as a network for like minded athletic trainers in public safety. As a past president I work with great athletic trainers across the nation promoting the value of the athletic training profession to the public safety sector. Tactical medicine remains my passion through Wright State University Boonshoft School of Emergency Medicine, Division of Tactical Emergency Medicine Support. I serve as a tactical medic for Sidney-Piqua Tactical Response Team, Greene County Regional SWAT Team, Dayton Narcotics Division and elsewhere. Teaching tactical medicine concepts has elevated me to a national platform. For 2021 I presented a five year athletic training valuation over $800k for a small city public safety department.
