ABOUT ARASH M.
As a sensor fusion software developer, my role involves designing and implementing embedded navigation algorithms that power high-precision indoor/outdoor positioning solutions. I employ my proficiency in classical fusion algorithms, such as Kalman and Complementary filters, alongside the use of neural network-based designs. This unique combination allows me to create innovative and robust software tailored to a variety of industrial applications. I hold an MSc in Software Engineering & Intelligent Systems from the University of Alberta, where I explored how to control a quadrotor with a suspended load using reinforcement learning and differential geometry. I also have a second MSc in Control Engineering from the University of Tehran, where I focused on 3D attitude and position estimation using GPS and INS signals. I have published multiple papers in journals and conferences on these topics. My research expertise and interests are in using artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of robotics, which I view as one of the key areas that will enable robotics to propel humanity forward in a safe and collaborative manner. In my personal time, I like to explore the mountains on skis, ropes, and wheels. I am always eager to connect with other professionals and enthusiasts who share my passion for robotics and the outdoors.
