Providing mentoring and technical guidance to maintenance engineers along with working closely with Maintenance leadership and first line supervisors, operating area personnel, project engineers and personnel throughout the plant to ensure the safe, profitable, and reliable operation of the plant • Overseeing equipment Lubrication, Vibration analysis, Ultrasound, Infrared and other Reliability programs • Developing and implement Reliability Control Plans (RCP) for numerous equipment classes • Developing Repair and Job plans to shops in support of the Maintenance activities• Advising on proper execution and documentation of Repair and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities • Identifying and interfacing with preferred equipment manufacturers, specialists, and technical support consultants • Supporting the Capital Improvement process for new equipment installations and upgrades by ensuring design-for-Reliability and design-for-Maintainability concerns are incorporated • Providing analysis of failed equipment to determine cause(s) and eliminate any future failure(s) • Assisting contract Vibration technicians and Maintenance Engineers with rotating equipment vibration analysis, condition monitoring data interpretation and recommended actions • Developing, maintaining and updating maintenance and reliability documentation (e.g. repair reports, bill of materials, upgrade recommendations) for critical plant equipment • Solving Engineering Problems and developing new mechanical upgrades to existing equipment• Assist in difficult troubleshooting skills of complicated equipment • Instrumental in Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects • SAP work management system and Meridium/Asset Performance Management (APM) • Approving authority for repairing and replacing failed or outdated chemical production assets and support equipment • Supervising all Reliability Engineers, Planners and Schedulers in the plant
