About A. Hussein
With over six years of professional and academic experience in mechanical engineering and renewable energy, I am a passionate and motivated researcher and educator who aims to contribute to the advancement of sustainable and efficient energy solutions. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Syracuse University College of Engineering and Computer Science, where I focus on grid-interactive energy efficient buildings and urban energy modeling and simulation.Prior to joining Syracuse University, I worked as a project manager and a planning and construction manager for several companies in Germany, where I designed, planned, optimized, and supervised the implementation of district heating and water networks, thermal power stations, and heat delivery systems. I have extensive knowledge and skills in energy conversion and management, thermodynamics, and Cosmos FEA, as well as project tendering and construction management using the German fee schedule for architects and engineers (HOAI). I have also authored a master\'s thesis and a publication on renewable energy applications in collaboration with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
