Abhishek Yadav fell in love with computers at the age of 13. At 18, he got engaged with Computers leading to B.Tech in Computer Science, thereby ending the 4 year-long relationship. Then he explored live in relationship with Computers and worked as a Software Engineer for 2.5 years. Eventually, he got interested in management and pursued MBA (Major: Analytics, Marketing & HR) from IIM Kashipur to explore other avenues of Interest.Intrigued by the stint of his relationships with Computers and Management, he decided to enjoy both by embracing a career in Strategy Consulting. During working as a consultant for High Growth technologies like AI, Big Data, BlockChain, IoT, Analytics his love for Computers rekindled. Then he decided to explore how the immense potential of technology coupled with extensive domain knowledge can transform data into a strategic asset. Then one day he came across the concept of IKIGAI.A paradigm shift in the world economy wherein new business models are getting created due to technological advancements led me to think that there exist a lot of opportunities for professionals working in the Analytics and consulting space. I labeled this as ‘What the world needs’.I did a retrospective analysis of the skills that I exhibited in the past academic career and I found analytical and mathematical ability with a sharp sense of reasoning and people skills are something that I have. I can offer them as a bundle in the form of a ‘consulting professional working in the Analytics domain’. I labeled this as ‘What the world will pay me for’The rest included things ‘I am passionate about’ and ‘things that I love’. Being creative and fastidious about minute details and following method even in madness meant I can definitely work for long hours without crying foul and that too delivering fantastically. Combining all the above, I arrived at my own IKIGAI, the intersection of all the four sets. I wish to play the role of a functional consultant in Analytics for the upcoming business models, offering creative strategies for the ever-changing business world.
