About Karan Gaikwad

As a master\'s student in Civil Engineering at Purdue University, I have honed my skills in advanced steel design, structural mechanics, and bridge engineering. I bring with me a wealth of practical experience gained through internships at Limaye Consulting and Bhate & Raje Construction in India. These experiences have allowed me to develop my design and analysis skills, including examining concrete work, designing axial columns and retaining walls, and coordinating with contractors and consultants.In addition to my technical skills, I have developed proficiency in various software and programming languages, including ETABS, Revit, STAADPro, MS Office, Python. I have also attended seminars on the analysis and design of FRP concrete structures, bio-based composites for infrastructure, and basic design and construction aspects of bridges.I am also committed to giving back to my community, as evidenced by my volunteer work with organizations such as Purdue Graduate Student Government, Lions Clubs International, Vande Mataram Trust, and The Chemist Association of Pune. I am excited to bring my skills, experience, and passion to a challenging and rewarding position in the field of Civil Engineering.Areas of interest: Reinforced concrete design, Steel design, Bridge design.
