ABOUT ALAURA WARD
As the Coordinator for Student Employment Programs at MSU Denver, I oversee the hiring, training, and evaluation of student employees across campus. I also develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance, quality, and equity in student employment. I have successfully managed multiple projects and initiatives to enhance the student employment experience, such as creating a diversity recruiting certification program, conducting a student employment survey, and organizing a student employment recognition events and job fairs. With a Bachelor\'s degree in Political Science and a background in Applied Computer Science, I have a strong academic foundation and a diverse skill set. I have applied my knowledge and skills in various settings, such as working as a Legislative Aide for Rep. Donald Valdez, where I performed policy analysis, bill tracking, and research, and as a Community Leader for the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion, where I led teams and social justice initiatives. I am passionate about empowering underserved populations and effecting positive change through education and advocacy.
