I joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1990.I am presently holding the position of DMD (CCG) at SBI after my one year stint as MD & CEO of SBI Capital Markets the investment banking subsidiary of SBI.Prior to that I headed the New Delhi circle of SBI which covered NCT, Uttarakhand, Western UP and parts of Haryana which has close to 1700 branches/units and employees.Primarily being responsible for a business level of Rupees 5 trillion. For a year I had been heading the bank\'s operations in the entire state of Rajasthan. I have more than 33 years of experience of managing various operations of SBI as Regional Manager, Deputy General Manager (Business & Operations) and General Manager. In my previous posting, I was heading the Bangalore Regional Office of the Mid-Corporate Group and was responsible for catering to a high value clientele which included many PSUs, NBFCs, DISCOMs, and the like.My diverse experience includes heading the bank’s south wing in the Mid-Corporate Group vertical and Bidhan Nagar & Kolkata modules in the state of West Bengal. I have shouldered responsibilities which include Business Development, Risk & Compliance Management, HR Functions, Interaction and Participation in various Industry and Government forums.I hold a BSC degree from Ranchi College and an MBA degree from ICFAI Hyderabad.I am an avid sports aficionado and follow tennis, football and specially cricket.I have played district-level cricket from Jorhat and have also participated in bank-level cricket tournaments from time-to-time.
