About Nicholas Hall
I’m an attorney building a full-stack AI platform to automate intake & triage of claims—all designed for matters involving sensitive PII.I currently serve as Lead Counsel in John Doe 1, et al. v. Kroll Restructuring Administration LLC (W.D. Tex.), a class action stemming from the August 2023 incident affecting claimants in the FTX, BlockFi, and Genesis bankruptcies. Earlier, my crypto-insolvency work began with Mt. Gox, advising large creditors through Japanese civil rehabilitation and related U.S. issues—including a client believed to be the third person ever to transact on the Bitcoin ledger. Since then I’ve advised official committees, trustees, funds, and individual creditors on distressed exchanges, disputed claims and cross-border claims processes. What we’re building:• Automated intake & triage of claims: multilingual flows, eligibility screening, de-duplication/entity resolution, evidence kits, and draft generation—so teams can qualify and move matters faster, with attorney in the loop where appropriate.• Efficient settlement rails: programmable, auditable distributions with support for staged payouts, holdbacks/escrow, and remediation—structured so PII stays protected (hashes/attestations only), improving capital efficiency and enabling earlier, more flexible liquidity events where permitted.• Due diligence & compliance: KYC/AML screening, watchlist/OFAC checks, conflict/venue flags, document validation, and event-level audit trails—packaged for rapid review.I also publish tools and plain-English resources for creditors at FTXClaims.com. Who I partner with:• Law firms modernizing intake/triage and documentation at scale• Enterprise/fintech & platform teams integrating compliant claimant workflows• Investors exploring opportunities leveraging regulated workflow infra (SaaS + case-linked revenue)Open to: pilot projects for automated intake/triage, and pilots of capital-efficient settlement rails that can improve liquidity.Focus: Bankruptcy & Restructuring • Class Actions • Data-Breach & Privacy • Claims Administration • KYC/AML • Cross-Border Insolvency• Legal Ops & AIAdmissions: State Bar of Texas; U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, Southern & Western Districts of Texas
