About Bryan Webster

TLDR: I’m probably just a nerd who likes technology too much. 20 years experience in software, engineering, architecture, product, cloud, and BD working across verticals and the globe has landed me in an amazing home at the center of customer, product, and technology. I have a track record for delivering innovative solutions and building teams around a vision rooted in customer obsession, inclusion, and the firm belief that the best idea and the market always win – and everyone who can help coalesce a vision into action is critical to success. In younger years, I was tickled just to touch new technology and push the envelope. After joining a startup and ensuring my IT remit ran smoothly, I had the opportunity to lean in to our support and sales teams. Time spent ‘drinking our champagne’ gave significant experience with our software to lend the field and I was paid with a fantastic learning - customers are a boundless source of new challenges. Their tech stacks are all different, teams disparately arranged, behaviors incalculable. and all with a slightly different set of problems to be solved often unrelated to our software but quite near to my infrastructure, operations, and security background.By the time we were acquired, I was slightly unsettled to realize tech wasn’t the point - rather, my value was in understanding customers’ challenges and helping them be successful. Working with enterprises early in their digital transformation laid bare the intricacies of team and technology as the tech evolves faster than most organizations can manage. Understanding the impact of these changes and org evolution to instill customer obsession in our teams became valuable experience, setting up directions I’d never expected. So here I’ve made my home – the centroid of this customer, product, and technology triangle. Whether working with customers, looking at product fit in the market, or coaching PM and RD leaders – this is how I push in all my projects and teams; the drive to look slightly away from the points to find the balance in a solution. On the off-chance I’m caught distracted from this puzzle of organizational challenges and technology solutions, friends would likely suggest I could be found driving a fast car, enjoying a single malt (separately of course), researching horology, volunteering as an early ‘tester’ for the latest [anything you might find at CES], or gushing over my daughter’s grad school work in a STEM field. I’m also often accused of encouraging others’ related journeys - generally being a supportive and occasionally a bad influence.
