About Sarah M.
5 people. 3 months. 1 van.*No, this isn’t a reality TV show setup — it was my life in fall 2018, when I planned and executed a cross-country speaking tour, roadtripping through 20 cities. The client: a life, mindfulness, and business coaching brand. The goal: connect with their fan base and build hype for their online courses.Admittedly, it was a deviation from several years of running Golden Arm Media, a content creation company focused on online videos for e-learning and inbound marketing. But I knew then as I do now: I can do anything. “Here are the official dates! I posted them on Facebook!”“Wait, it’ll take two days to drive from Vancouver to Salt Lake City. We can’t have an event the next day!”So it began. My foresight to include buffer time beyond the drive time proved invaluable. We needed it when the RV broke down in San Diego — and again, when the second RV blew up on our way out of Colorado. At that point, I immediately revised all of our arrangements. The tour transformed, and one coach flew to the remaining cities, which we reduced from twenty-four, down to twenty.(Fortunately, I also had the intuition to wait to book the last few cities of the tour, so we didn’t lose any venue deposits!)* You got me, there were technically 2 non-simultaneous vans that the five of us lived in and traveled in - except when there was RV trouble. On those days, we stayed in a hotel or an airbnb, which I typically found and booked only an hour before we arrived.(I\'m told that I thrive under pressure.)Through experiences like that, but even more so in my work at Golden Arm Media and as a freelancer, I’ve aced many trials by fire (including two actual fire walks) and developed an array of transferable skills.I\'m excited to bring all of my experience, creative problem solving, and my passions for e-learning and personal and professional development to the right opportunity. If you’d like to connect, talk shop, hear some wild tour stories, or anything except try to sell me something, please reach out!
