I supervise a range of high threat incidents across a busy London borough, managing serious crime, threats to life and spontaneous critical incidents. I deliver highly effective risk assessments and direct the most successful responses. I have served in various units during this time:Missing Persons Unit - Managing a team, I directed and coordinated investigative strategies for high risk missing persons. I worked in close liaison with external stakeholders including social services, the National Crime Agency and the NSPCC to secure the most comprehensive and effective resolutions within a safeguarding framework. These time critical investigations required exceptional priority management, effective multi-agency working and adherence to ‘golden hour ‘principles in order to capture often vital intelligence. I ensure the effective management of international enquiries; working in close liaison with Interpol and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office to most effectively manage high risk environments.Community Safety Unit - I led a community safety unit, tasked with driving investigations of the most challenging crimes within the community from domestic abuse to hate crimes, forced marriage and modern day slavery offences. I balanced the need to secure convictions whilst supporting, often vulnerable, victims. I worked successfully with multi-agency partners, particularly around safeguarding, driving performance to ensure high levels of positive outcomes for vulnerable victims. Case Progression Unit - Overseeing the progression of cases following arrest, I managed a significant caseload and ensured compliance with all legal requirements. I reviewed cases to maintain quality control and gather learning from case outcomes. Working in close liaison with legal teams, I demonstrated excellent record keeping and the ability to simultaneously manage diverse cases.
