As a Senior Investigating Officer, I direct investigations into critical crime across north London including murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and high risk missing persons. I lead 30 dedicated officers and, during live incidents, up to 200 officers from multiple specialist strands. Driving intelligence gathering, I direct strategy, conduct risk assessments and manage highly sensitive and confidential information; safeguarding the integrity of overt and covertly obtained evidence. Leading the use of advanced and sophisticated analytical techniques, I plan and implement often high risk operations to target and secure the convictions of offenders. I ensure organisational resilience through the application of best practice and learning to inform continuous improvement.My proactive stakeholder engagement, including legal and local authority partners, has secured best outcomes for victims of crime and the conviction of serious and violent offenders. In addition, I contribute significantly to serious case and domestic homicide review panels.Managing exceptional demand, with limited resources, I ensure the effective training, guidance andprofessional development of my teams. I exercise diplomatic, yet robust, intrusive supervision tosecure integrity and the highest standards of service. Actively building morale, I provide clarity onstandards, purpose and desired outcomes in these challenging environments.
