ABOUT KIRK MARTIN
My passion is working with people and organizations to improve Oklahoma for today and the future. My career has focused primarily on economic and community development and the information systems and business processes that support them. I enjoy improving competitiveness, outcomes, customer experience, workplace culture, strategic alignment, teamwork, and messaging. Many of the programs I\'ve developed or managed - Broadband expansion, Census outreach, CRM, performance measurement, Business Licensing, Capital Improvement Planning, SiteReady, WorkReady Communities, and Community Developer newsletter - have garnered state and national recognition for innovation and excellence. I began in state service in 1986 and joined the Oklahoma Department of Commerce in 1991 where I worked in a variety of areas, culminating with advising on strategic alignment, designing and refining processes to improve outcomes, and providing actionable insights by analyzing & interpreting performance data.
