ABOUT ISAAC TRONCOSO

I work at the intersection of politics, social impact, and entrepreneurship. I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2019 with a double major with Honors in Public Policy and History. For my Public Policy thesis, I researched Chicago’s affordable housing shortage. I am a Partner at Blue Raven Campaigns, a Chicago-based political consulting firm that works to elect candidates to local and national office. I also serve as an Interim Commissioner on the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability. I was appointed by the Mayor of Chicago and City Council to this historic, 7-member body to oversee police accountability efforts - working to restore trust between the city\'s communities and CPD. I am a former private sector Chief of Staff of CityBase, a 90-employee Chicago government technology company. Previously, I worked at Google in a rotational program, consulting our largest advertising clients on their marketing strategy. Prior to Google, I was a public policy intern at the New York City Mayor’s Office, researching how the NYPD could improve its mental health incident responses to 911 calls. In my free time I volunteer as a Board Member and public policy researcher at a local Chicago nonprofit called the Small Business Advocacy Council. There, I have worked on legislative issues including lowering barriers to employment for ex-offenders, and increasing access to the financial system for entrepreneurs in low-income communities. I also serve as a Board Member of Black Millennial Renaissance, where we provide Justice & Equity Fellowships so that Chicago youth of color can take unpaid summer internships in government, politics, and the nonprofit space.
