I love being challenged. Climbing new heights and pushing myself to achieve more is what motivates me in life.Early in my career, I was very fortunate to be in both an engineering and project management role at Powell Canada, where I worked on increasingly complex projects from a technical and business perspective. Within a year and a half, I was leading seven projects simultaneously worth over $5 million, and I thrived in that environment. Jumping between projects, solving problems, and ensuring successful project delivery really helped me develop a great sense of my abilities and where my passions lie. I found great pride in managing teams, working with clients, and always being on my toes as new challenges and opportunities came about.As Powell Canada grew from a $5 million to a $120 million revenue company, I grew with it when I became Senior Electrical Engineer of a new product group that was a key driver for Powell\'s success. I am very proud of the challenges that position offered me as I was the lead on all projects for my group, which totaled over 12 different contracts with total revenues over $50 million for major clients like Enbridge, Imperial Oil, and NOVA Chemicals.Looking to grow further professionally, I completed my MBA at Queen\'s where I relished the opportunity to tackle complex problems and enhance my business acumen. From there, I went on to work at Westwood Electric and Bantrel where I tackled larger and more complex projects outside my comfort zone, and enjoyed every opportunity that came. From smaller capital maintenance and upgrade projects to large scale industrial projects with total installed costs of $300 million, I took every opportunity to learn and grow with each one.Outside of work, I like to stay active through snowboarding, travelling, and exercising.
