ABOUT NARESH KUMAR

I started my career as an OBIA and BI Developer — building dashboards, data models and reports that business teams relied on to make decisions. From there I moved into Production Support, leading teams responsible for keeping critical financial applications running 24/7. That hands-on operational experience gave me a solid understanding of systems, incidents, and what happens when requirements are not clear enough. That background is what shaped how I work as a Business Analyst.Today I work with product teams to understand their business problems and translate them into clear, functional requirements that development teams can build from. My focus is on bridging the gap between business and technology — making sure what gets built actually solves the right problem, delivered in a smart and structured way. Some of the work I have been part of:* Contributed to delivering a firm-wide Regulatory product from requirements through to MVP — completed within 8 weeks as part of a focused BA team.* Currently leading BA efforts to retire a legacy exception management application and replace it with a new Angular-based web application — an MVP build aimed at helping operations users work more efficiently and clearly.* Day to day, I work across product and technical teams — writing functional requirements, defining acceptance criteria, supporting test coverage and keeping delivery on track.Lately I have been exploring how AI and Prompt Engineering can make BA work sharper and faster. I am early in that journey but have seen real, practical results in my own work:* Functional Requirements - Translating business needs into Agile-ready functional requirements used to take weeks. With prompt-driven workflows it now takes days.* Test Case Generation - Writing functional test cases including edge cases, boundary conditions and negative test cases used to take 2 to 3 hours. It now takes 20 to 30 minutes with noticeably better coverage.* Requirements Quality - Built a reusable prompt that checks requirements against BABOK standards — helping catch gaps early before they reach development.I am not claiming to be an AI expert. I am a Business Analyst who is genuinely curious about what these tools can do — learning through real use cases, building what helps, and sharing what works.
