I am a sports and media executive with four decades of experience building, transforming, and leading content-driven organizations at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and audience engagement. I am also an active public speaker and community leader, frequently presenting on the evolution of sports media, digital transformation, and the future of storytelling. My career spans legacy media, digital-first platforms, startups, and non-profit leadership, with senior roles at SABR (CEO), ESPN, AOL Sports, Fox Sports and Sports Illustrated for Kids. I started my career as a sportswriter at the Los Angeles Times. Have led organizations through periods of growth, reinvention, and cultural change - often at moments when media, technology, and consumer behavior were rapidly evolving. I am currently a public speaker who gives talks on today\'s sports landscape and how my career has followed the evolution of Sports Media (Newspaper, Magazine, TV and Radio, Digital), a consultant for sports and media companies, Contributing Writer for Naples Illustrated, Vice President of the U-M Club of Southwest Florida and a Founding Member of Pioneers and Legends in Naples, Florida. In parallel, I advise startups, media companies, and established organizations on strategy, growth, content, partnerships, and brand positioning.
